Easter Camp!

Mayflower had a very successful Easter Camp weekend with a few tweaks and changes but a major focus on cleaning.  We now head into UK finals and then on to Dayton.

Tomorrow we head up to the North of England for a final day of rehearsals before UK finals on Saturday (where we get the pleasure of performing first and last!).  Sunday will be spent sorting out flags, weapons and props to transport to the USA.  With ever increasing security measures, it is becoming harder and harder to transport everything to the USA.  Luckily with some great friends on the 'other side of the pond' we are able to borrow flag poles and some of our props.

We leave very early Monday morning and arrive in Dayton by 2pm (local time).  The afternoon will be spent re assembling flags and props plus taking delivery of our floor etc.

Prelims order is announced!

Like many guards, we have been anxiously awaiting WGI to release the prelims order.  This is particularly nerve wrecking/exciting for Mayflower since we have no seeding score (because we haven't attended a WGI regional) so instead we sent in a video a few weeks ago and had to wait the outcome of the review committee's decision.  Would they deem us in the top 1/3, middle 1/3 or bottom 1/3 amongst the Independent World teams? This would influence our prelims performance order.

Well slightly later than normal and after many of the guard constantly asking if we knew, WGI released the prelims order and as you can see we will be performing 3rd from last in the last round at 9.05pm (which is 2.05am UK time!).  This is a fantastic performance slot for us and means the judges will have most of our competitors to compare us to.

Welcome to our WGI blog for our 2016 trip to Dayton

It's been 3 years since our last trip to Dayton and we are so excited to be back again in 2016 - bigger and stronger than ever.

We appreciate our fans all over the world and back home so want to be sure to keep you posted and share our experience with us as much as possible.  This blog will be one of the ways you can keep updated - with daily blogs throughout our trip.
